Answer: Unfortunately, no one came up with the right answer.
The upper photo shows the signage for Å, literally meaning river, and the example of the shortest name for a place in the world. There are several villages in Norway, Sweden & Denmark that share the same name.

The lower snap shows the signage for a hill on North Island, New Zealand, which is the longest name of a place in the world. The shorter version of the name, which is in Māori language, consists of 57 letters and the full version is of 85 letters.

To speak the truth, I have failed in my attempts at pronouncing the names of the place!
